An official project of Market Drayton Methodist Church
Since the 1990's we have been sending teams first to Petrila & then to nearby Petroşani in SouthWest Central Romania; sharing in fellowship with Christians there and assisting them in their outreach and care in the community. We began by giving First Aid advice and equipment and then sending Christmas shoe boxes. As needs changed, we were able to provide support where it was most needed with the guidance of our trusted friends there.
Church Partnership
The congregation of Golgota Baptist Church in Petroşani welcomed our commitment to return to spend time with them each year and, as friendships grew, an official Church Partnership was signed in the Summer of 2006. We continue to fellowship with our brothers and sisters by returning to Romania, by welcoming them here in Market Drayton and via the internet.
